Mastering with Revisions
Service Description
So, you've recorded your book and edited out any mistakes. Our mastering and revision service frees up your time to get on with your next project while we ensure your files are ACX compliant and sounding great. An initial free consultation is included to ensure you can produce suitable files ready for mastering, and once you approve a mastering sample we will produce your project in a timely manner; and also help with subsequent author amends. All files will be delivered in an ACX-compliant format. £15 per finished hour of audio produced. When booking you can choose a time for our initial consultation, and after booking we will be in touch with some advice as to what you should prepare for this.
Cancellation Policy
This service includes audiobook mastering only (not editing, proofing, or performance correction unless agreed in advance). An initial consultation is included, where we can work together to ensure your files are recorded and edited correctly. Mastering covers: Noise reduction and cleanup EQ, compression, and levelling Loudness normalisation (ACX / platform standards) Final export to required formats File Requirements Clients must provide: Clean, edited audio (no major mistakes, retakes, or missing sections) High-quality WAV files (preferred: 24-bit / 44.1kHz or higher) Additional fees may apply if files require heavy repair, editing, or reconstruction. Compliance & Standards I aim to meet ACX / Audible technical requirements (or other platform specs if requested). However: Approval ultimately depends on the platform’s review process Revisions for technical compliance are included if the original files meet quality standards Revisions Policy 2 rounds of revisions included per project Revisions cover mastering adjustments (levels, tone, consistency) Major changes (new files, re-edits, re-exports of large sections) may incur additional fees Turnaround Time Typical delivery: 2–5 days per finished hour Expedited delivery may be available for an additional fee Payment Terms After the initial consultation I will supply a mastered sample of your work for your approval. Full payment required before final delivery (unless otherwise agreed) Delivery Format Final files will be delivered as: ACX-compliant MP3 files (or WAV if requested) Properly named and organised per chapter Cancellations & Refunds Work already completed is non-refundable If a project is cancelled mid-way, payment is due for work completed up to that point Limitations of Service This service does NOT include: Script editing or proofreading Performance coaching or narration fixes Re-recording or voice correction Confidentiality All client materials are treated as strictly confidential and will not be shared or distributed. Client Responsibility Clients are responsible for: Reviewing files before submission Providing clear instructions and requirements Ensuring narration is final before mastering Communication Clear and timely communication ensures the best results. Delays in response may affect turnaround time.
